DIRECTORATE OF CASHEWNUT & COCOA DEVELOPMENT (DCCD)


The Directorate of Cashewnut & Cocoa Development (DCCD) is a national nodal agency primarily engaged in the overall development of Cashew and Cocoa in India. Established in the year 1966 as a subordinate office under Ministry of  Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India consequent to the  abolition of Indian Central Spices and Cashew Committee. In 1997 Cocoa was Transferred and the Directorate renamed as Directorate of Cashewnut and Cocoa Development (DCCD). 
Main objective of this Directorate is to enhance the production and productivity of cashew and cocoa in the country in order to meet the demand of domestic industries for internal consumption and export.
